Moody Mid-Century
A family of five recently acquired an American Four Square residence, thoughtfully preserved with historically accurate interior colors reflective of its original era. Seeking to infuse the interior with a cohesive aesthetic and distinctive character, they engaged M3 Interiors LLC to develop a comprehensive paint palette tailored to the entire home. Our design approach emphasized the interplay of natural and artificial light, the orientation of the home, and the light reflective value (LRV) of each selected hue. Through this process, we curated a palette that was both personalized and purposeful—achieving the clients’ vision of a warm, inviting atmosphere with seamless transitions between spaces.
Modern Mosaic Reno
This Rochester, Minnesota duplex is undergoing a comprehensive renovation, transforming the property from the studs inward to serve as both a long-term and short-term rental. Designed with modern sensibilities, the project emphasizes clean lines, functional layouts, and a balanced color palette that blends warm and cool tones to create inviting, versatile living environments. Each unit is thoughtfully curated with distinct design features that reflect individual character while maintaining a cohesive architectural language. The result is a pair of contemporary residences that offer comfort, style, and adaptability—ideal for tenants seeking a refined rental experience in a well-established community.
Oda Spa Primary En Suite
This energetic family of four embarked on an ambitious renovation of three of the four bathrooms in their northwest Rochester home. For the primary en suite, the homeowner envisioned a retreat—an intimate space designed for solitude, restoration, and an unhurried start to the day. Every material selected for the room reinforces that intention: textured surfaces that envelop, understated patterns that soften, and walls saturated in a moody, contemplative green. In true DIY spirit, the homeowners acted as their own general contractors, managing the process and completing many of the tasks themselves. Their dedication is evident in the final result—a space that is both serene and beautifully personal. This family set out to modernize their daughters’ shared bathroom, envisioning a space that felt fresh, functional, and distinctly contemporary. Guided by a crisp palette of gray, white, and black, the design process centered on creating thoughtful storage solutions to support the evolving needs of two growing young women. Throughout the renovation, multiple organizational concepts were developed to ensure the room could gracefully accommodate daily routines while maintaining visual harmony. Beyond storage and color, additional design elements were introduced to enhance both beauty and usability, resulting in a space that is as practical as it is polished.
